HOW CAN I ENSURE A QUALITY FINGERPRINT?

There are a number of conditions that can affect the image quality of a fingerprint. For instance, wet and sweaty fingers can cause the fingerprints to look blurred and not process clearly. On the other hand, dry fingers will cause the image to look broken and lack definition. At Quicki, LLC, we will meet our due diligence and find quality fingerprints with our many solutions to ensure they are approved. Reprints are performed on-site, but can extend the process.

WHAT IS THE DIFFERENCE BETWEEN AN ORI AND OCA CODE?

Having your ORI (Originating Agency Identifier Number) code is mandatory and extremely important for the fingerprint process. Normally, your Employer or Regulatory Agency will tell you this information, but we can help you locate it as well. The correct ORI code will allow your results to be processed to the correct designated agency. Generally, your ORI is a 9 digit code consisting of two agency identifying characters and 6-7 following characters.  Example: EDOH0380Z.

The Florida Department of Children and Families provide the OCA (Controlling Agency Identifier) code which identifies the entity requesting the background check. Without this code, FDLE will not be able to process your results correctly to your employer.

HOW MUCH TIME DOES IT TAKE FOR QUICKI TO CAPTURE MY FINGERPRINTS?

Our live scan fingerprinting process should take anywhere between 5-15 minutes depending on the image quality of your prints.

HOW CAN I GET A COPY OF MY BACKGROUND CHECK?

Quicki, LLC cannot provide a copy of your background since the results don't come back to us. Only FDLE has this information and can use it to their discretion.

HOW LONG DOES IT TAKE TO GET BACK THE FINGERPRINTING?

It can take one to two weeks for them to be received, then FDLE will send them directly to your designated agency. During the week of your appointment, we will need to mark or make any comments for FDLE for lower grade prints, scars, etc. After completion of our evaluation, we will send your fingerprints in. Please note, we do have a large number of clients on a daily basis as we are evaluating their fingerprints as well. Depending on the workload of the state/agency, your results may not be delivered until a week or two weeks. Note that any criminal activity found in your report is another factor that may affect the processing time. We will be here and available for help throughout the entire process.

HOW DO I CHECK THE STATUS OF MY BACKGROUND CHECK?

After you've taken your fingerprints, a technician should provide you a TCN (Transaction Control Number). To check the status of your background, click here: Background Check Status.

If you have misplaced or not received a TCN, please call the office so we can retrieve that information for you.
